![]() ![]() Instead of your limited gear in lod, you have skulders or tals with 3 sockets with ptopazes. Pits automatically is p5 drops at P1 difficulty. Oh and both you and your merc are dealing splash damage. In top of that, you don't have to deal with worrying about playing on higher player settings because while playing on /p3 in vanilla lod was optimal, you playing pd2 have default /p5 drops while having P1 difficulty. You don't have to choose, now he has more than max res, multiple auras, a corrupted weapon that has a max damage that far exceeds that of the original d2 lod. ![]() There are no more compromises for your merc. Your merc has absolutely NO threat of dying in trav anymore because he's got might default, he's got 40%ll, he does insane damage, he can't be frozen. Not just a little stronger, a LOT stronger. Your ww barb can wear the same gear and it can be stronger because of corruptions. If you're facing conviction aura, you can die in a split second. Gear up your trav runner in vanilla lod, your merc still dies, your character still walks the razors edge no matter what gear you have on. Survivability is not worse, it is better. I say this so you will take my opinion seriously and will reevaluate yours - Diablo 2 in project diablo has gotten far easier, more balanced, and overall better in single player.ĭamage is not nerfed. I have played every meta build in d2 single player to 95+, and several characters to 97 in single player. I played Diablo 1 before that, it was my first arpg. ![]()
